Dauphins Genève - 24th Coupe Finswimming

60 over athletes from 8 clubs took on 24ème Coupe Finswimming Indoor the Dauphins Genève Meyrin in part . The very well organized event helped many participants to new personal bests.

In the women dominated by Clelia Schläpfer SLRG Oberwallis in the men's no way to Niccolò Buetti of Flippers Team Locarno .

The NAP meeting held March 9, 2008 at the Swimming Pool Livron in Meyrin (GE) confirmed the revival of the sport in Switzerland. Not less than 7 clubs had sent their swimmers on the shores of Lake Geneva for this appointment traditionally organized by the club Dolphins Geneva. That are accustomed to Sub Gambarogno Flippers Team Locarno SLRG Oberwallis and Zurich U.S., 3 French clubs have made the trip. Aquafun Divonne came close, but we especially honored to receive the Spondyle Club d'Antibes Aix Natation which are among the best French clubs.

They do not come for nothing !
The presence of these two teams drew the overall level up so remarkable. Our young neighbors (es) were conspicuous by performing time we do not usually see in Switzerland in these age groups ... So the ranking men in all categories was won by Niccolo Buetti (FTL/1983) followed Alain Baechler (DAG/1986), but the third is Loic Chemin (AIX/1994) Barely 14 years. Among girls, the best swimmer Switzerland - Clelia Schlaepfer-(SLRGO/1990) held its place and won the race followed by Tanja Lorenz (SLRGO/1992) then Jeanne Sery (Aix/1995). Noted that seats 4 5 and 6 are also occupied by the French under 13!

Times spectacular! On the surface
100m Anna Fache (Antibes/1995) clocked 55'70 for a time below the record of the Switzerland category. Among boys the Swiss record of 4x50 m was beaten by 1 second yellow Aix! Times achieved at this competition demonstrate the revival of Finswimming Switzerland. The national team coaches who were there were therefore measured with satisfaction the progress made.

With its large contingent of swimmers and good performance in all categories Flippers Team Wins Locarno overall, followed Aix Swimming and SLRG Oberwallis.

It is home anyway!
Swiss teams have still won the relay. FTL SLRGO and shared the women's relay, but the Dolphins kept the Geneva supremacy on 4x50 and 4x100 m men.

Without its volunteers, the organizing club could not have put together this great event. It is important to underline their commitment and thank them. They already give you an appointment on 10-11 May next to the Swiss championship de Nage avec Palmes à qui auront lieu cette année à Genève.
